Vertellus Specialities acquired the SBH business from Dow
On February 2, 2015, Vertellus (Mr.
Richard Preziotti/CEO) closed on its previously announced acquisition of the
Dow Chemical Company’s Sodium Borohydride (SBH) business.
The acquisition includes the
manufacturing plant in Elma, Washington. Vertellus intends to maintain all the
existing operations and quality standards that are currently in place.
Customers can be assured that they will continue to receive product to the same
quality standards as they have traditionally received.
Nomura Jimusho, Inc., will
intensify its business activity on serving the pharmaceuticals and
agrochemicals market by continuing to supply SBH and Vitride along with other
specialty materials that Vertellus is producing in the Japanese market as
Vertellus’s distributor.
Nomura Jimusho, Inc., has been
selling SBH as the suppliers’ distributor over the past 20 years.
Back in 2009, Nomura Jimusho, Inc.,
became Vertellus’s Japanese distributor of their various specialty materials,
and their pyridines and picolines (and their derivatives), and is well
recognized in the market.
Vertellus and Nomura Jimusho expect
to generate a great synergistic effect in the market better because the
acquisition will significantly increase their ability to provide tailored
solutions to the pharmaceutical and agriculture sector.
