The Health Sciences Division aims at contributing to our society through healthcare products. As an agent of CLEA Japan, Inc., which is a leading company that supplies feed, bedding equipment, and related services for various experimental animals that are essential for Medical Science, Biology, and Drug Discovery Research, the Health Sciences Division works with Nomura Siam International Co., Ltd., which is our joint-venture in Thailand, to provide products and services to Southeast Asia and other Asian countries. We supply laboratory animals produced by M-CLEA Biosource Co., Ltd., which is a joint-venture of CLEA Japan to Asian countries. We also have been importing various specialty chemicals used in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries for a long time. In addition to the existing businesses, we have plans to enter new markets such as an analytical equipment for food safety and an elderly care that has been an issue in the recent years.
